Nutricia Metabolics and Ketogenics Research Award 2025

This year Nutricia is offering Healthcare Professionals the opportunity to apply for funding of up to £15,000 to support nutrition related for research into inborn errors of metabolism and medical ketogenic dietary therapy.

Eligible applications for funding include clinical trials, service evaluations, surveys or adults within paediatric or adult patient groups.  

A variety of research project ideas will be considered, including but not limited to:

  • A questionnaire to gather patient and parent experiences of transitioning from paediatric to adult services
  • An audit on the dietetic management of adults with PKU returning to a Phenylalanine restricted diet, including patient outcomes such as Quality of Life
  • A clinical trial on the efficacy of ketogenic dietary therapy in specific scenarios, such as brain injury, status epilepticus, or any other neurological condition.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 11th July 2025.

Successful applicants will be selected by the clinical and research experts across the Nutricia Medical Affairs and Research teams and all applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by 5pm on Monday 6th October 2025.

Applicants must be working in the NHS, 18 years or over, and HCPC registered healthcare professionals. Open to UK residents.
