The Nutricia Homeward Nursing Service in Scotland was inspected in June by the Scottish Care Inspectorate, they set out key questions about the difference a service makes to people’s wellbeing and the quality of the elements that contribute to that. The Care Inspectorate framework reflects the Health and Social Care Standards within Scotland and provides detail about what they expect from a service.
The Nurse Agency Quality Framework, which is the category that Nutricia Homeward is registered within, focuses on two areas and the inspector uses the Key Questions and Quality Indicators as the basis of the inspection, calling upon staff and patients along with written information and other resources to evaluate the service and provide a rating.
Inspections are unplanned and conducted at very short notice and we were delighted to be awarded an ‘Excellent’ 6/6 and ‘Very Good’ 5/6 in the two areas we were assessed, supporting people’s wellbeing and leadership and staffing.
