An Introduction to Nutricia Homeward
Nutricia currently supports approximately one half of all enterally fed patients in the community setting in the UK. Over the last 15 years, our home enteral support service, Nutricia Homeward, has developed a comprehensive range of products and services to manage the wide ranging needs of all patients.
The Nutricia Homeward service includes:
- Delivery of oral nutrition supplements, enteral tube feeds, enteral feeding pumps and ancillary items to patients’ homes.
- Dedicated coordinator teams who organise the timely delivery of supplies and services to patients and hospitals
- Discharge packages to support the rapid and safe transfer of patients from hospital to their home or community residential setting.
The Nutricia Nursing Service is CQC Accredited (Care Quality Commission), and the Customer Service department is accredited by the governments new CSE Award (Customer Service Excellence) which replaced the Charter Mark award - which we had held for 8 years - in 2010.
- Nutricia Homeward and the nursing service are accredited with the CQC, meeting the highest possible standards of care. The team of dedicated enteral feeding nurses (approximately 100) work across the country to provide the top quality care and support, for enterally tube fed patients, in the community.
- On-going training and advice is available giving patients greater independence by managing their enteral feeding at home including access to nurses over the phone 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
