KetoConference 2015

Aug 26, 2015 - 01:42 PM

KetoConference 23rd April 2015

Royal College of Physicians, Regents Park, London

The Nutricia KetoConference provides an opportunity for healthcare professionals to come together and discuss the ketogenic diet for the management of refractory epilepsy. Standard treatment for epilepsy is the use of anti-epileptic drugs (AED's). These are effective for about 70% of patients with epilepsy but there are a significant group of drug resistant patients for whom the ketogenic diet can offer real benefit. Unfortunately, the ketogenic diet, for management of epilepsy, does not have the same awareness as AED's. This conference aimed to raise the awareness and education of people working in this field through providing highly regarded scientific content as well as practical advice and means to implement what has been shared and learnt.

Please see the attached aims and objectives and scientific programme for KetoConference 2015
